Gunna Says He’ll ‘Fight It Out’ In New Song Snippet Amid Young Thug Trial
Gunna was released from jail back in December. Rumors began to circulate on whether he would stay with YSL amid their trial. Gunna’s release was made after he pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiring to violate the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
“I have chosen to end my own RICO case with an Alford plea and end my personal ordeal by publicly acknowledging my association with YSL,” the rapper said in a written statement provided to ABC News back in December by his attorney Steve Sadow. “An Alford plea in my case is the entry of a guilty plea to the one charge against me, which is in my best interest, while at the same time maintaining my innocence toward the same charge.”

Ever since Gunna stepped foot outside of the Fulton County jail, fans on social media began calling him a “rat” for allegedly “snitching” on Young Thug, who remains behind bars, in exchange for his freedom. Now in a new unreleased song, Gunna addresses the rumors about him bowing out of YSL altogether.
“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out,” he raps on the unreleased track. “We ain’t going nowhere I’m staying here, gone fight it out / I meant like f— it / Let’s just give these n—– dark clouds / Been gone for months and I just keep seeing these dark clouds.”
Gunna’s legal team cleared the DS4Ever rapper of “snitching” allegations back in February. “Gunna has never been interviewed by or cooperated with law enforcement or prosecutors in the RICO case. Nor have his attorneys proffered information on his behalf,” journalist Jewel Wicker tweeted last month. “What was said at his Alford plea hearing was solely to resolve his own case. It cannot be used by the prosecution against Young Thug or any other defendant.”
In related news, DJ Akademiks said that Gunna has an LP in the works. “I think he’s cooked up an album. From what I heard, he has an album ready,” Akademiks said while on Livestream per HotNewHipHop. “He has an album discussing a bunch of s—. He’s got an album, he’s got some s— to say. But there’s nobody down to stand with him.”
