50 Cent Purchases 985,000-Square-Foot Lot For G-Unit Film & Television
50 Cent showed off his 985,000 square foot lot on Instagram Saturday (April 29). He plans to use the lot to build studios for his G-Unit Film & Television company. The rapper-turned-executive producer has made a mark for himself with Power, which debuted on STARZ in 2014. The entertainer has since expanded the series that lasted six seasons. He created the successful spinoffs: Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force. He also created Black Mafia Family (BMF).
It doesn’t come as a surprise that 50 wants more control over production. He’s had a very estranged relationship with STARZ, and he’s made his feelings known on social media. Last April, he called the network “incompetent” after it was accused of allegedly leaking a new episode of Power before its premiere date.
“See they leaked the episode again these people are incompetent,” he wrote on Instagram under his post of fans sharing spoilers on the newest episode of Power Book IV: Force. “I went to Harvard so the f— what!”

50 announced his departure from STARZ back in September. “This is my vibe right now!” he wrote on Saturday in an Instagram post. “STARZ deal done, we had nothing but success so no hard feelings… I’m out. I’ll let you know where we are going shortly.”
He followed up with a since-deleted post (per XXL) writing, “09-17-22 official day of really owning my content & deciding where and how i do it moving forward!!!” he wrote in the caption. “GLG GreenLightGang bulls eye we don’t miss.”
Reps for Jackson confirmed to Deadline that he did not renew his agreement with the cable network. The publication reports that “He is believed to be entertaining multiple offers from streamers and studios for his G-Unit Film & Television, whose current slate includes 25 series in production and projects in development.”
50 took to Twitter last week to reflect on all that he’s accomplished with the network despite regretting working with them in the first place.
“I have the number 1,2,3, and 4 top TV shows in African-American and Latina households,” 50 I have the number 1,2,3, and 4 top Tv shows in African American, and Latina households and i hate that i did them with the wrong people. I’m not doing any BMF spin offs or selling any other shows to STARZ. ✌🏽GLG🚦GreenLightGang #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi pic.twitter.com/65yBgYDpuZ
