Chris Brown Speaks Out After Alleged Concert Altercation
Chris Brown got into a verbal altercation over the weekend with Usher at the Confessions creator’s annual concert Lovers & Friends. The incident reportedly took place backstage during Missy Elliott’s set at the Las Vegas festival on Saturday (May 6).
A video has been circulating online over the weekend that shows Brown yelling at men who appear to be bodyguards as his own team holds him back. Brown spoke up about the verbal altercation in a comment on NoirOnlineOrg‘s Instagram page.
“Yall been geeked all weekend, y’all dragging it now. It was mad people backstage, and security was trying to clear everyone off the stage,” he wrote.
“People started pushing back… I INTERVENED To let them know MY CHILD WAS BACK THERE. So y’all can keep ya narrative.”
However, that is not the only incident Brown was allegedly in over the weekend. The Breezy singer reportedly got into an argument with Teyana Taylor at his birthday party Friday (May 5) at Skate Rock City. Taylor apparently ignored the singer, which made him upset. That’s when Usher reportedly attempted to calm Brown down in footage obtained by TMZ. The “Under the Influence” singer then allegedly directed his anger towards Usher and called him a “coward.”
The “Superstar” singer took Brown outside, where he was “jumped” by the Indigo singer and his crew, coming away with a “bloodied nose,” Hollywood Unlocked reported. While that report ran rampant over the weekend, Usher put some doubt to those reports as he was seen with no visible facial injuries on his Instagram Story while he was getting ready for this performance at Lovers & Friends that night. Brown also took the stage at the festival on Saturday, just hours before Usher’s headlining set.
In regards to the alleged Brown and Usher altercation, neither artist has spoken out about it, nor has Taylor.
