Dave & Busters Offshoot ‘Main Event’ Set for August 9 Opening in Fayetteville, Now Hiring
The long-anticipated opening of the Dave & Buster’s related fun center, Main Event, is finally coming on August 9 in Fayetteville, and the company is now hiring.
The location at 580 Cross Creek Mall – where Sears used to be – features a 38,000-square-foot entertainment complex, that will employ 160 people initially.
“We are delighted to bring Main Event to Fayetteville, offering a unique and immersive entertainment experience that will leave lasting memories for everyone who walks through our doors,” Main Event General Manager Derrick Shane said in a release from the company. “We look forward to adding ourselves to the growing roster of Fayetteville’s family-friendly activities, with our commitment to providing exceptional service, a vibrant atmosphere, and a wide range of entertainment options.”
Main Event is similar to its parent company Dave & Buster’s in some ways, but focuses more on family entertainment options. The Fayetteville location will have later tag, video games, virtual reality, 18 bowling lanes, food and other entertainment.
“Main Event is a leading family entertainment center offering shared experiences that connect friends and family and challenge each other through interactive games while indulging in delicious food and drinks,” the release said. “Main Event also hosts hassle-free birthday parties for all ages that are epic for kids and easy for parents.”
Hiring has now started, and the company wants to bring 160 people on board for front and back-of-house positions. That includes servers, bartenders, hosts, cooks, game and bowling attendants and more.
The online application is now open at mainevent.com/careers. Employees have benefits like free games, discounted food, tuition reimbursement, medical benefits and more.
The Fayetteville location for Main Event joins a roster of 58 other centers in 19 states for the company.
