North Carolina: This is the Best Restaurant in the State
North Carolina has plenty of fantastic restaurants, both locally-owned restaurants and chain ones. Now, one outlet has named the No. 1 best restaurant in the state. That had to be a tough job, dwindling down all the great restaurants in North Carolina to just one. But, it was probably also a delicious job.
The study comes from ShermansTravel.com. “Foodies take note: We’ve rounded up the best restaurant in each state, from Delaware’s first Italian joint to a 50-year-old California restaurant that started the farm-to-table movement,” they state in the article. Looking through this list, I don’t see any national names on here. So, it appears that these are all truly locally-owned spots. That makes me want to hit up these spots even more.
Before we hit North Carolina, let’s look at South Carolina. They picked Butcher & Bee in Charleston. “Butcher & Bee in Charleston boasts an ever-changing menu featuring sustainable ingredients from local farmers,” ShermansTravel.com states. “The housemade pickle plate with seasonal vegetables, spicy avocado crispy sandwich with seasonal greens, and French toast with peanut butter creme fraiche are all favorites.” That sounds really delicious. It might be worth a road trip.
For North Carolina, the No. 1 restaurant in the state, according to this study, is Sunset Terrace in Asheville. That’s a great spot. The restaurant offers a beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain vista. “The restaurant, which is located in the historic Omni Grove Park Inn, is best known for its hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood,” ShermansTravel.com states. “Plus, between the top-notch service and the fairytale-like setting, you simply can’t go wrong with indulging here.” I’d like to go there right now.
