Doja Cat Addresses Fan Drama, Teases Something Coming Soon
Doja Cat’s relationship with her fans has been rocky after she received backlash from her “kittens” last month. The “Kiss Me More” singer lost nearly 250K followers. “If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f—— ‘kittenz,’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house,” she wrote in a since-deleted Doja Cat criticizes her fans for adopting the term 'Kittenz' as their fandom name:

One fan asked for the singer to tell her fanbase that she loves them which Doja Cat responded, “I don’t though cuz I don’t even know y’all.”

“Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I’ve defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long,” she explained about the ordeal in an Instagram Story last week, per Uproxx. “And it feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who I am and not for who I was. I feel free.”
Last night (Aug. 22) the Planet Her creator reposted a Lady Gaga-inspired quote.
“When you die, nobody is going to give a f— what you tweeted.” – Gaga,” Doja shared on her Instagram Story.
The quote from Gaga is inspired by her SXSW performance but the “Telephone” singer actually is misquoted in Doja’s post. “When you leave this Earth, no one’s gonna give a f*** what you tweeted,” the singer said back in 2014.

In another post, Doja addressed the situation with her fans. “All that matters to me is that my fans know who I am and the others are stuck trying to figure out,” she wrote.

However, on her feed, the singer is teasing that something is coming soon. The singer posted a photo of a silhouette in devil horns with the caption, “9.1.23 [hourglass emoji].” While the singer is gearing up for her fourth studio album Scarlet, she has since released “Attention,” and “Paint The Town Red.” She has not officially made an announcement on when fans are to expect the album.
