Drake: Fan Theory Suggests How He Got Bobbi Althoff Interview Taken Down
A fan has a wild theory about how Drake and podcaster Bobbi Althoff’s interview on her The Really Good Podcast has been wiped from the internet. The move, if this theory proves to be correct, is very strategic on Drake’s part. TikToker (@PhotogSteve81) explained how everything allegedly went down.
“Drake paid her travel to come to his location,”@PhotogSteve81 began. “Negotiated where his team would produce, film, and control mostly everything about the podcast. He then goes on to play Tyga’s ‘Rack City.’ He specifically leaves it playing and airs a very long clip in the episode which now appears to have been his leverage he planted in the beginning.”
But why would it be taken down?
The biggest question after seeing that this could have been a cause of the interview being taken down, is the “why.” The social media user further explains. “Drake’s team reached out to Universal Music Group which owns the rights to ‘Rack City’ and filed a copyright strike against Bobbi’s podcast,” the social media user suggests but it has not been confirmed. “They filed it under the terms that YouTube has with Universal Music. This meant that all of the proceeds from the podcast would have to be turned over to Universal Music or Bobbi would be facing a very large lawsuit… Bobbi’s team, realizing they would not be able to monetize their biggest podcast in history, decided to pull the podcast.”
Now, all of this is just a theory since neither Universal Music, Drake’s team, nor Bobbi Althoff’s team has publicly addressed the incident. What we do know is that Drake and Bobbi no longer follow each other on social media shortly after the video was removed from the internet. Drake was interviewed by Bobbi back in July and prior to their interview, the podcast was under the radar. She has since interviewed Lil Yachty, Offset, and more since the viral Drake clips.
