Offset Announces New Album ‘Set It Off,’ Shares New Song ‘Fan’
Offset’s album finally has a release date and title. Set It Off, Offset’s second solo album to date is expected to arrive on Oct. 13. In addition to the new album announcement, Offset shared a new song titled “Fan.” The new song is expected to be on Set It Off.
Offset channels his idol Michael Jackson in the video for “Fan” taking inspiration from MJ’s iconic videos such as “Thriller” and “You Rock My World.”
Prior to “Fan,” the Migos rapper released singles “5 4 3 2 1,” “Code,” featuring Moneybagg Yo and “Jealousy,” featuring his wife Cardi B. The latter is expected to be on Set It Off.
The rapper originally planned to release his solo album last year, but Migos member Takeoff was tragically shot and killed on Nov. 1. While there was some beef between Quavo and Offset, they reunited at the BET Awards for the first time since Takeoff’s death earlier this year. After the reunion, Offset hopped on Instagram Live and expressed what it meant to him to be back on stage with Quavo.

“I love all my fans. I love of y’all. We did the BET performance, man. It was iconic, man,” Offset said during his Instagram Live. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Quay, man, we put that together within, like, 16 hours, like, 15 hours …We do that ’cause we’re some real stars. We do this music. We the greatest group to ever touch the mic. RIP my brother, Take. We did it for my brother Take. Me and Quay stood tall, brother to brother. And I appreciate everybody for supporting. It was a movie, it was a vibe. We needed that for the culture.”
Set It Off follows Offset’s solo debut Father Of Four in 2019. Quavo, also recently issued a solo album, Rocket Power as a tribute to Takeoff.
