SZA Shares ‘No SZNs’ With Jean Dawson Release Date
A new SZA collab is on the way. “No SZNs” which will be a duet with singer Jean Dawson, which will be released on Friday (Sept. 22). “‘NO SZNS.’ (A duet by SZA & myself). 9/22/23. The official cover art by my favorite fine artist, Josh Brizuela,” wrote Dawson in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The cover art was attached to the tweet; it shows a black-and-white drawing of a faceless SZA on top of a beast with two small horns. Back in May, Dawson shared a snippet of him and SZA singing in the studio with a recording of the song playing in the background.
“In the spring, you can’t hear a thing / All the birds and bees (All the birds and bees) / Nobody think in the summertime (In the summertime) / People off the brink / In California, we ain’t got no seasons / All the same to me (All the same to me) / ‘Cause In the heat, like to press repeat / Every day is every day,” both of the musicians sing together.
SZA’s 2023 Song Releases
This is SZA’s fourth release of the year. She first released a remix of her SOS hit “Kill Bill, ” featuring Doja Cat. The two previously won Best Pop Duo Performance at the 2021 Grammys for their song “Kiss Me More.” The record gave both artists their first Grammy win. She followed up the “Kill Bill” remix with another remix from SOS, “Snooze.” “Snooze” also became a fan-favorite. After Justin Bieber appeared in the music video earlier this month, they collaborated on an acoustic version of the song. Most recently, SZA linked up with Drake for their first-ever collaboration. Drake released “Slime You Out” on Friday (Sept. 15).
