Drake Praises Joe Budden In Resurfaced Clip Amid Feud
Drake and Joe Budden have been going back and forth all weekend. It started when the media personality gave his opinion on the Toronto rapper’s newest album For All The Dogs.
“[Drake is] rapping for the children,” Budden said on his podcast. “I had to look up how old this n—- was when I finished listening to the album … You gonna be 37 years old. Get the f— away from some of these younger n—–, and stop f—ing these 25-year-olds. … Why are you still f—ing the 25-year-olds? You’re a 37-year-old billionaire.”
He then compared Drake to J. Cole who changed what he rapped about as he grew. “Cole used to rap about kid s— … And then he started to grow up. And then the rapping sounded like an adult rapping. I want to hear adult Drake rapping for adult people. That’s my issue with him today.”
Drake Responds To Joe Budden’s For All The Dogs Comments
“You have failed at music,” Drizzy wrote under a post from DJ Akademiks that featured a clip of Budden talking about Drake. “You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success…a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…”
He continued, “You switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to screw up their face to Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you are the goat.”
Budden clapped back writing, “@champagnepapi you’ll grow up sooner or later,” Joe Budden typed. “Father time is undefeated.”

However, fans were reminded that there was a time when Drake admired Budden. Amid their feud, an old interview clip with Drake saying he was “honored” to be near the rapper resurfaced.
“I’m happy, I’m honored — I’m honored to be around you, man,” Drake says to Budden in an undated clip. “So, I can’t be honest on your network, here? I can’t be honest to your fans and say I’m honored to be around you?”
In another undated clip, the rapper says that he was inspired by Budden’s flow saying that he “used to rap like Budden, back in the day.”
