Ice Spice & Rema Share New Song ‘Pretty Girl’
Ice Spice and Rema’s collab is officially here. The two hitmakers got together to create “Pretty Girl, ” released Friday (Oct. 13). The song is the rapper’s first release since the deluxe edition of her Like..? EP in July. The deluxe included previously released songs, “In Ha Mood,” “Gangsta Boo” featuring Lil Tjay, “Actin Like A Smoochie,” “Bikini Bottom,” “Princess Diana,” and her breakout hit “Munch.” New additions include “How High?” “Butterfly Ku,” “Deli”, “Princess Diana” remix featuring Nicki Minaj, and bonus track “On The Radar.” Prior to the release of her deluxe EP, she worked with Nicki Minaj on “Barbie World” which was featured on the soundtrack to Barbie starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, and more.
Her music has resonated with fans as she had two of her songs land on the Billboard Hot 100. The Bronx rapper landed two Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits this year with “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress and the “Princess Diana” remix featuring Nicki Minaj.
For the BET Hip-Hop Awards aired earlier this week, the rapper won Best New Hip-Hop Artist. She was previously nominated for Best New Artist at the BET Awards earlier this year, but it went to R&B singer Coco Jones. Later that night, she performed “Munch,” “Princess Diana,” and “In Ha Mood,” making it the first time she performed at an awards show.
The rapper has been using her popularity to secure some deals, and we aren’t mad at her for it. She recently teamed up with Dunkin’ Donuts for a commercial. Also earlier this year, she was invited to the Met Gala by Vogue‘s Editor-in-Chief herself Anna Wintour.
As for Rema, he released Rave & Roses back in April. The Nigerian artist had guest features from 6lack, Chris Brown, and Selena Gomez hopped on the remix to his hit “Calm Down.”
