The legendary rapper will be giving his own commentary at the quadrennial athletic games with NBC. The "Gin And Juice" rapper will join the broadcast team to assist in reporting for the Olympic Games this summer on-site. The Olympic Primetime Show will begin on July 26.
The excitement has already hit the rapper as he posted a photo of himself dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
"New year mood," Snoop captioned the video. "Paris 2024 Olympics. C u this summer. Official."
"I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness," Snoop said in a statement. "We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?"
This is not the first time Snoop has brought his talents to the international stage. He previously worked with NBC four years ago for the Olympics in Tokyo with Kevin Hart.
"Snoop is already an Olympic gold medal commentator, generating tens of millions of views for his highlights commentary on Peacock of the dressage competition during the Tokyo Olympics," Molly Solomon — executive producer and president, NBC Olympics Production — said in a statement. "That performance alone has earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris. We don’t know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our re-imagined Olympic primetime show."
The 2024 Paris Olympics will take place July 26 through Aug. 11.
Snoop Dogg is a cultural icon, and he has also proven to be a savvy businessman. Snoop made his name in music back in the '90s when he got his start by being featured on Dr. Dre's "Deep Cover" and throughout several songs on Dre's debut solo album The Chronic (1992). A lot of times rappers "age out" of the game but Snoop has kept himself relevant on many levels and one in which is pivoting to other areas besides hip-hop. He has used his success in rap to build businesses that cater to his fanbase which has led the rapper in creating a 140M empire.

Snoop owns Broadus Foods and Master P serves as the brand's chief executive officer. Broadus Foods houses the "Momma Snoop" brand, and it already has a host of breakfast items including syrup, pancake mix, grits, and oatmeal according to the website.

Snoop also has the liquor game on lock. The rapper is known for his 1994 hit "Gin and Juice" so creating a gin line just makes sense. Indoggo (a play on the word Indigo) is the West Coast rapper's gin line. The product is obvious but the rapper also has a host of fun cocktails to make using his gin.
If gin is not your thing, Snoop still has you covered. The rapper also has wine collaboration with the 19 Crimes brand. Snoop's wine comes in "Cali Red," "Cali Rosé," and "Cali Gold." The wine company also partnered with Martha Stewart for "Martha's Chard" who has collaborated with Snoop many times.

Snoop Dogg has had several acting credits and has guest starred on several shows. The rapper has made an appearance in Martin, The Boondocks, co-hosted Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party and has lent his voice to The Simpsons. He's also been in several films including Training Day, Baby Boy, and many more. Snoopadelic Films is the rapper's film production company that he started in 2005. The film company has produced Bromates (2022), Hood of Horror (2006), Reincarnated (2012), and many more.
Leafs By Snoop
This one should not come as a surprise. The rapper got into the weed business in 2015 with his marijuana company Leafs By Snoop. In 2015, Colorado was one of the only states in the United States that allowed marijuana to be sold recreationally which makes since that Leafs By Snoop's home base is in the Mile High City. In addition to Leafs By Snoop, the rapper's media company Merry Jane has a CBD e-commerce platform. He also co-founded Casa Verde Capital, an investment fund that now has a portfolio worth at least $200 million, Tech Crunch reported last December. Through Merry Jane, the rapper has now included marijuana-infused snacks in partnership with TSUMo Snacks.
