It's almost time for the 19th annual Vander Civic Association Pig Cook Off and Family Fun Day.
The event is this weekend, Friday, October 18, 2024 and Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Vander Community Park and Walking Trail located at 128 Rock Hill Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The "Anything But BBQ" contest is Friday, October 18, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those attending get to choose the winners in four categories: Best Dish, Best Dessert, Best Showmanship for site setup and also the award for The Most People Served.
There will also be live music beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024 from at least two live bands who will perform.
Saturday, October 19, 2024 is the big day as Vendors begin the day at 9:00 a.m. followed by the famous BBQ Plate Sale from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Plates will only be $10.00 each.
From 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., it's a Family Fun Day with games and fun for the whole family.
For Professional Cookers, there is a $1500 Grand Prize up for grabs. For Backyard Cookers, there is a $300 Grand Prize on the line. It's up to you to determine who will take home the 2024 Vander Civic Association Pig Cook Off and Family Fun Day bragging rights.
At 1:00 p.m., the Cooking awards and the winners of the Raffle will be announced.
