New Luther Vandross Documentary Screening This Week in Fayetteville at Film Festival
Hello my luvs! I had the best time at last year’s Indigo Moon Film Festival in downtown Fayetteville, where the atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing with excitement. This year promises to be just as amazing, if not more. Last year, I caught "Black Barbie," a powerful film that resonated so deeply with audiences that Netflix and Shonda Rhimes picked it up. It was a poignant experience where I laughed, cried, and felt incredibly proud as a Black woman. Seeing such strong representation was truly inspiring and reaffirmed the importance of diverse voices in film. MORE: Buy Indigo Moon Film Festival tickets here. This year, I’m super excited to see "Never Too Much," a documentary about the legendary Luther Vandross. My parents always said we wouldn’t be here without Luther’s music—he’s like the famous uncle I never met but hold dear in my heart. Growing up, his soulful voice and timeless hits filled our home with warmth and joy, so I have immense admiration and respect for him. https://www.instagram.com/p/C0hfkSQvV6C/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Mark your calendars for Friday, October 11 at 7 p.m. for the opening night film "Luther: Never Too Much" There will be two screenings: one on opening night - which is nearly sold out - and another on Sunday, October 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the CAMEO Art House Theatre in Fayetteville, NC.
