After “no charge” period the past 3 years on Fayetteville Fast (Fayetteville Area System of Transit), bus fares will be reinstated this Saturday, July 1. Riders should have their fares prepared prior to boarding the bus and provide exact change as operators cannot handle cash and make change. City of Fayetteville employees can continue to ride fare-free by displaying their City identification badge.
Riders using passes will need new passes starting Saturday. Passes and tickets purchased prior to June 1st of this year will NOT be accepted. The New Passes are available at Fayetteville’s Transit Center at 505 Franklin St. AND a more limited selection at Carlie C’s IGA stores in Fayetteville at Eutaw Village, Cedar Creek, Bordeaux and Reilly Road.
