Interviewees this week included representatives of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) about a job fair they were conducting Wednesday, July 19th (9a-3p) at Fayetteville’s NCWorks, a state-funded and operated employment center. CCSO announced openings for both Sheriff’s Deputies and Detention Officers. (We later found out there were 20 job interviews scheduled as a result of the CCSO’s publicity efforts.)
The other interviewees this week were Dr. Hersey Bell, recently named Methodist University Medical School Dean, and Methodist University Provost Dr. Susan Blum Malley. In an encore presentation of their conversation with Paul Johnson in June, 2023 regarding advancing opportunities for our area’s residents health outcomes, our area’s nearby hospitals (including Cape Fear Valley Hospital and all its satellites), Methodist University and other nearby colleges and universities with whom Methodist University hope to build partnerships and paths to continue Medical Education toward becoming physicians, students themselves as well as area business people who will discover new unfilled business-to-business gaps. It’s a very positive message!
