'Facts of Life' star Charlotte Rae has died.

At the time of her death she was 93 years old.

Rae, who played Mrs. Garrett in the long running series, won a grammy for her role.

According to WKRN, Rae's representative confirmed her death to several publications.

It is not known at this time how she died, however, she passed away inside her residence in Los Angeles.

Not long ago, Rae was diagnosed with bone cancer.

Prior to her diagnosis, she had recently survived pancreatic cancer.

Rae leaves behind a sister, a son, and several grandchildren.

Shortly after news of her death surfaced, Kim Fields, who played Tootie on 'The Facts of Life,' reacted to the news on Twitter.
