Stevie Wonder Is Moving To Ghana To Protect Grandchildren From Racism

Stevie Wonder has announced that he is packing up and moving; he's leaving America. He shared the news during a recent interview with Oprah.

He said, "I wanna see this nation smile again, and I want to see it before I leave to travel to move to Ghana. Because I’m going to do that."

After Oprah asked if the move was permanent and why, he added, "Because I don't want to see my children’s children's children have to say, 'Oh, please like me. Please respect me. Please know that I am important. Please value me.' What kind of life would that be?"

Per CNN, during the interview, Stevie shared that he's been considering moving for at least 15 years. They also point out that in 1994 Stevie was quoted as saying that Ghana had "more of a sense of community" than America does.
