Ice Cube recently took to social media to state that Warner Bros. studios has "refused" to make additional sequels to the Friday film franchise.

“#freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels,” he wrote, also posting a cartoon of the movie's cast. “They have hi-jacked the happiness of the culture.”

Ice Cube wrote and starred in Friday back in 1995 with Chris Tucker. The movie took off and developed a cult following, which resulted in a handful of sequels, including Next Friday (2000) and Friday After Next (2002).
