Cain Velasquez: UFC Star Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge

Cain Velasquez, the popular UFC fighter who also did a stint in WWE, has been arrested on an attempted murder charge following a shooting in San Jose, Calif.

Per various outlets -- including NBC Bay Area and TMZ -- the shooting took place yesterday (February 28) at around 3 PM PT near a high school that resulted in one man being shot and being taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Velasquez is currently in Santa Clara County Jail and has a court date tomorrow (March 2) at noon. His exact involvement in the shooting has not been confirmed.
