"Hell naw! She didn’t have a child," the Chicago singer told Rick Party during a Wednesday (Dec. 28) interview from behind bars.
The disgraced singer's response follows an Instagram profile that claimed to be his fiancée and said that the couple reportedly welcomed a newborn on Dec. 8 named Ava Lee Kelly. Savage's father, Timothy, denied that his daughter had a child in December in an Instagram video on Monday (Dec. 26). "My daughter Joycelyn is not pregnant," he said. "If I had a granddaughter, I would be the first to say I love this child, no matter what the situation is, period. But rest assured, that’s not my granddaughter."
R. Kelly’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, denied these claims via TMZ.
The disgraced singer is currently behind bars after being convicted on nine counts of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, plus additional child pornography charges in September by a federal jury in Chicago.
