Lizzo is tired of the body-shaming on Twitter. After reading a series of tweets aimed at her, the Grammy winner reveals that she's considering quitting the music industry. Lizzo, 35, responded to a viral tweet (now deleted) of the musician's recent concert tribute to the late Tina Turner. Back in April, the same Twitter user wrote: "The naked obese picture of Lizzo is disgusting. This is extremely unhealthy and will inevitably lead to an early death. Much like anorexia this must be called out."

Lizzo's "Brand"

The "Truth Hurts" singer clapped back at the Twitter user. "I JUST logged on… and this is the type of s--- I see about me on a daily basis. It's really starting to make me hate the world. Then someone in the comments said I eat 'lots of fast food.' I LITERALLY STOPPED EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO… I'm tired of explaining myself all the time and I just wanna get on this app w/out seeing my name in some bulls---."

Lizzo shared another tweet that said being fat was her "brand." In response, she said, "Y'all really need to touch grass… I'm not trying to BE fat. I'm not trying to BE smaller." She continued, "I'm literally just trying to live and be healthy." She said that this is her body when she eats "super clean and working out." But the critics "speak on s--- y'all know NOTHING ABOUT and I'm starting to get heated."

The Followup

In a follow-up tweet, the Detroit native called it "crazy" that the "love definitely do not outweigh the hate on social media." Then, the singer dropped a bombshell. She said she is so "close to giving up on everything and quitting and enjoying my money and my man on a F---ING FARM..."

Lizzo is currently on her Special tour, which kicked off last fall. She will be playing in New York tonight (June 9). She then heads to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan until the end of July.
