The couple already shares daughter Luna Simone, 6, son Miles Theodore, 4, and 5-month-old daughter Esti. Teigen says in her post that she's always wanted four children. The couple lost their son Jack "when she suffered a pregnancy loss due to a life-saving abortion" back in September 2020.
Surrogacy and IVF Journey
Following the loss of Jack, Teigen says she couldn't even fathom carrying any more children on her own. She and Legend, 44, contacted a surrogacy agency and started the IVF process to try again. It was a success with Esti. Teigen delivered Esti via her first cesarean section, explaining to People how she was "so excited" about the surgery.
She told the publication back in March that she's done "the vaginal thing twice. Let's try this,'" referring to her previous births with Luna Simone and Miles Theodore. "I really love surgery," she said before adding, "I like that I've seen both experiences," she adds. Of the surgery, Teigen expressed how "cool" it was to think about "your organs" being on the surgeon's "table for a second." She even admits to taking the "craziest pictures of the cord and everything."

The couple met a surrogate named Alexandra at the same time that Chrissy found out she was pregnant. Knowing she was the perfect match upon meeting her, they took her on as their surrogate. Alexandra was successful after a first failed transfer attempt with their son, Wren Alexander Stephens. Dedicating his June 19 birth to their surrogate whom they formed a strong bond with, the couple decided to honor their surrogate by including her name in his.
