Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd Release ‘K-Pop’
Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, and The Weeknd have teamed up for a new single titled “KPOP.” The music video features all three artists switching from scenes at a soccer field, a club, and then a house party with breathtaking views. There are also cameos by Pharrell and SZA.
“KPOP” marks Scott and The Weeknd’s sixth time collaborating on a song. The pair first linked up for “Pray 4 Love” from Scott’s 2015 album Rodeo. The following year, they worked together on “Wonderful” from Scott’s album Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight. Their latest collaborations were two on Scott’s Astroworld: “WAKE UP” and “SKELETONS” and then “Power Is Power” alongside SZA on the For the Throne: Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones soundtrack.
Scott and Bad Bunny have worked together two other times before “KPOP.” They were both on the remix of “Krippy Kush” by Farruko with Nicki Minaj, and Rvssian, and both of them were also on the remix to “Know No Better” by Major Lazer, Scott, Camila Cabello, and Quavo.
“KPOP” is the first time The Weeknd and Bad Bunny have worked together.
RELATED: Travis Scott Concert At Pyramids In Egypt Not Canceled: Report
“KPOP” comes right before Scott’s concert and live stream of his highly anticipated album, Utopia. The concert will take place on July 28 at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. It was previously reported that it was canceled. Live Nation debunked those claims with a statement on Tuesday (July 18).
“There have been no changes to Travis Scott’s show in Egypt,” Live Nation told Rolling Stone. “Any reports to the contrary are false. We can’t wait to celebrate Utopia with you in Egypt!”
It was previously reported that the show “goes against the cultural identity of the Egyptian people.” Due to Scott’s 2021 festival Astroworld, a safety measure was also a concern by government officials. Ten people died due to a crowd surge at the festival.
