Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign Finally Release ‘Vultures’

It's been delay after delay after delay. And even yesterday, when fans thought that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Vultures 1 was going to be available, it wasn't.

But it finally happened: at midnight, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign finally released Vultures 1, the first of a planned series of albums by the duo. The album is available in physical and digital form via West's website, Yeezy.com. The album appears to come through West's YZY brand - he is no longer signed to Def Jam Recordings. Guests on the album include Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, Travis Scott, Quavo, Platboi Carti and West's daughter, North.

At a live event at Chicago's United Center, the duo played a recording of a song that apparently sampled a live recording by Ozzy Osbourne, performing his band Black Sabbath's song "Iron Man." Ozzy blasted West on social media, writing (in all caps) "Kanye West asked permission to sample a section of a 1983 live performance of ‘War Pigs’ from the US Festival without vocals and was refused permission because he is an antisemite and has caused untold heartache to many. He went ahead and used the sample anyway at his album listening party last night. I want no association with this man!"

Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon told gossip site TMZ, "Kanye f---ed with the wrong Jew this time," saying that she and Ozzy sent a cease and desist to West. Fans noted that at another listening event at New York's UBS Arena last night, the sample wasn't used in the song. Instead, the song apparently sampled West's own song "Hell of a Life" from 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. That song sampled Black Sabbath's "Iron Man," with permission.

West and Ty Dolla $ign were trending early in the morning as excited fans discovered the album. Interestingly, the album hits twenty years to the day after West's debut album, The College Dropout.
