If you were to think about the world’s best bottle of wine, you would think it had to be expensive.

However, the 2017 International Wine and Spirits Competition debunked that train of thought. At the U.K. supermarket chain Lidl, they sell a Crémant de Bourgogne that has been receiving some serious attention.

Currently on sale for a little over $10, the wine is described as being “highly underrated.

This statement makes sense since the bottle earned the IWSC’s Silver Outstanding Award. In the competition, the grocery store bottle beat out three different Crémant wines, reports Business Insider. Another, more famous wine that was placed in the same category was the name brand Veuve Clicquot.

According to Refinery 29, this bottle is a sparkly wine that is “not as quite as bubbly as Champagne.”

Sparkling wines shared the same fermenting processes as champagne. However, as reported by vinepair.com, a Crémant is less bubbly. Fox News states that the bottle can also be produced in more than one locations. Such areas include “Bordeaux, Jura, Limoux, Die, Alsace, the Loire Valley and Burgundy.”

For those Americans looking to taste a sip of this highly regarded bottle, well it is going to be tough. The Lidl’s Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc NV is only available at that particular grocery store. Granted, there are a few United State locations of the chain, so few Americans may be lucky enough to taste a sip. The grocery store only sells about 10,000 bottles per month. However, we are thinking those numbers are going to increase after receiving such an award.

Wondering what the best bottle of wine could possibly taste like? Well, Lidl describes the wine as “dry and with plenty of flavor, well integrated fizz and a dry, lingering finish. An excellent aperitif.”

Needless to say, those who are close to Lidl should definitely pass the wealth onto us.
