As we earlier reported, Chauvin was convicted on all three charges by a jury in the Hennepin County court. The 12 jurors found the former Minneapolis police officer guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
Jamie Foxx captioned his Instagram post: It is a bittersweet moment… I am happy and relieved that the person that did this horrendous thing to you and your family was found guilty... The maximum sentence for second-degree unintentional murder is imprisonment of not more than 40 years. The maximum sentence for third-degree murder is imprisonment of not more than 25 years. The maximum sentence for second-degree manslaughter is 10 years and/or $20,000.
