DDG is catching some heat over his new song "Famous" which seemingly references his relationship with actress and Grammy-nominated singer Halle Bailey.

In the chorus, DDG raps about "falling in love" with Bailey, something he internally struggles with due to her fame.

"Fall in love, I hate that s---/Knockin' me off my grind, I can't f--- with relationships (Oh)," he rapped, adding, "I don't even ask for much, I ask you to do the basic s--- (Oh)/Hardest thing I did was fall in love with a famous bitch."

He adds that seeing her have onscreen kissing scenes affects his mind and projects that more is going on off-screen.

"I been so insecure that I be thinkin' you really be f-----' n----- you in movies with/But on the internet, I just be coolin' it, but in my head, a n---- really losin' it," he rapped on the song, adding in reference to Bailey's role in Disney's The Little Mermaid where she kisses Prince Eric played by Jonah Hauer-King.

Later he adds, "Gotta be payin' good 'cause you keep doin' it, I might just tweet somethin' just to ruin it/I got a platform, I'm abusin' it," seemingly referencing his many Twitter rants about their relationship.

"Sometimes I feel so defeated, broken hearts repeated (Oh)/Said 'I love you', did you mean it?
/Why don't I believe it?" DDG asks several times in the songs questioning the relationship.

"Please take note of how both Keke BD and DDG acted once Keke and Halle got some attention on them. Be careful if these insecure jealous men. They are embarrassing!" one fan warned.

"we don’t really need to bring up halle’s personal family issues to rationalize why she’s with DDG still, terrible men will find a way to take advantage of anyone," one fan explained. "let’s focus on his a--, not the person y’all are allegedly trying to help."

"I remember a time when we all was routing for DDG and Halle," one fan remincised.

However, the "hate" from Bailey's fans has not affected DDG.

"The hate just make me wanna go harder," he tweeted.

Halle Bailey has been gracefully paving her own way in Hollywood. One part of the Grammy-nominated duo Chloe X Halle, the two sisters have created their own solo careers in music, TV, and film.

What's Next For Halle Bailey?

Halle was on a roll last year starring in three feature films: Disney's The Little Mermaid, The Line, and The Color Purple,. She also began her solo career when she released her first solo single, "Angel." The song was nominated for Best R&B song at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Halle and her older sister Chloe Bailey made up the duo Chloe X Halle and as a duo, they've released three albums The Two Of Us (2017), The Kids Are Alright (2018), Ungodly Hour (2020). Last year, Halle said that her solo debut would "definitely" be released by the end of the year in her interview with Cosmopolitan. While that didn't come to fruition, we are hoping for Halle's solo EP or some new music with both sisters.

While a Grammy nod is always great, the singer said the best part of 2023 was welcoming her first child with boyfriend DDG.

"Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son," Bailey wrote on Instagram. "Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you."

When Halle is not in the recording studio, on set, or tending to her newborn, she is slaying the carpets. Take a look at seven of Halle's best red carpet moments below:
