Eminem Challenges Fans To Match His Rap Flow On “Godzilla’
Any Eminem fan knows that Marshall Mathers can rap extremely fast. He’s done so on many songs, including Tech N9ne’s “Speedom,” “Yelawolf,” and T.I’s “That’s All She Wrote.” He rapped so fast on his single”Rap God” that it earned him a place in the Guinness Book Of World Records in 2013. According to Guinness, “Rap God” by Eminem (USA) packs 1,560 words into a fast and furious 6 min 4 sec – that’s a tongue-twisting average of 4.28 words per second! In one 15-second segment alone, ‘Slim Shady’ spits 97 words (6.46 words per second) at ‘supersonic speed.'”
To recap, on his latest album, Music To Be Murdered By, Eminem has a song titled “Godzilla” featuring Juice WRLD. It broke his previous world record and has become the fastest rap song ever. According to Hypebeast, “Slim’s third verse on the track is his fastest yet, with him spitting a total of 229 words in just 30 seconds — that’s 7.6 words per second. Calculating that down to syllables, he spits 339 in that timeframe, making for 11.3 syllables per second. On ‘Rap God,’ he performed the fastest verse at 9.6 syllables per second.”
Now, Eminem is having fun with fans, and he is challenging them to participate in the #GodzillaChallenge. He posted a video rapping the fasted verse of the song with the caption, “Fill ‘em with the venom and eliminate ’em @triller. #GodzillaChallenge is on. Who can spit it? Reposting + got prizes for my favorites.”
