Fort Bragg Reports Fifth Positive Coronavirus Case; Person is Cumberland County Resident
From Cumberland County:
A fifth positive case of COVID-19 was reported to the Fort Bragg Department of Public Health today. The individual is a dependent of a military retiree and a resident of Cumberland County. The person is in isolation at Womack.
To protect privacy and in accordance with GS 130A-143, no further information about the individual will be shared.
This is the fifth positive case to be counted in Cumberland County.
Cumberland County and Womack Army Medical Center public health officials are collaborating on the investigation as to where the individual may have had contact with people. They will notify any contacts who fall under the guidelines for additional monitoring and testing.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines a “close contact” as being within 6 feet for 10 minutes or more. If a staff member from WAMC Department of Public Health or Cumberland County Public Health does not contact you, and you do not have any symptoms, you do not need to quarantine yourself.
