Diana Ross Announces First New Album in 15 Years; Releases New Song
The legendary Diana Ross sings of gratitude in a new song, “Thank You,” which dropped today (June 17).
The song is the title track off her first studio album in 15 years, due out this fall via Decca Records/Universal Music Group.
Ross, who rose to fame as the lead singer of Motown Records’ Supremes, worked on the new album in her home studio during the coronavirus lockdown. She co-wrote and collaborated on the tunes with Jack Antonoff, Troy Miller, Triangle Park, Spike Stent, Prince Charlez, Amy Wadge, Neff-U, Freddie Wexler, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, Fred White, and Nathanial Ledgewick.
“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love,” Ross said in a statement. “I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time.”
“Thank You” is available for download now via digital retailers. Listen to the tune below.
Thank you marks Ross’ first studio album since 2006’s I Love You.
