Drake Announces ‘For All The Dogs’ Release Date, Sort Of
For All The Dogs officially will be arriving sooner than we think! Drake’s upcoming eighth studio album will be released within two weeks. The rapper made the announcement at his New York City It’s All A Blur Tour stop on Wednesday night (July 26).
“Make new friends. If you drink, drink some liquor. If you smoke, smoke some weed. And if you like somebody, like my dad says, keep f—ing,” Drake told the crowd in a fan recorded video.
“I will be back soon,” Drake continued. “I have an album dropping for you in, like, two weeks or some s—. But until then, just know, you’re always with me and I’m always thinking of you. Everything I do is for you. Every time I step in that booth, I hope I make you proud.”
The rapper announced that a new album is in the works when he dropped his poetry book Titles Ruin Everything, A Stream of Consciousness by Kenza Samir and Aubrey Graham last month.
“I made an album to go with the book,” the 6God announced. “They says they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me,” he wrote before adding “FOR ALL THE DOGS” in all caps.
Drake co-wrote the collection of poems with Kenza Samir. He and Drake have been working together for years on several of the Toronto rapper’s projects, such as Views and If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late. The publisher’s website describes Titles Ruin Everything as a 168-page collection of never-before-published poems about “fame, romance, and relationships.”

Earlier this month, the album made headlines earlier this month when reportedly two songs from the album resurfaced. “Tried Our Best” and “I’m The Problem” are both suspected to be included on the forthcoming LP, per HipHopNMore.
While Drake has given us a more concrete timeline of when the album is expected to arrive, no actual release date has been announced.
