Registration Now Open For ‘Fayetteville Beautiful’ Cleanup Event
Fayetteville residents, your city needs you! Registration is now opened for Fayetteville Beautiful, a city-wide cleanup event scheduled for April 20. This event will coincide with Earth Day and will aim to instill a sense of community pride and wellness.
Citizens will engage in cleanup efforts starting at Festival Park between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 20. The layout and execution will likely be similar to the previous Fayetteville Beautiful clean up event back in November. Litter bags and gloves will be provided to all volunteers, as well as snacks and water.
While this cleanup event is part of an ongoing project in Cumberland County, this year the city of Fayetteville is adding a new event to the schedule. The Earth Day is Every Day event will take place April 20 in conjunction with Fayetteville Beautiful.
According to a news release on the city’s official website, the Earth Day is Every Day event will feature lots of fun experiences for the whole family. This includes a 5k and 10k trail race, a kid’s zone, an electric car show, and more. The event is free and open to all residents.
