50 Cent: His Opinions On Jay-Z, Nas and Future
50 Cent always seems willing to share his opinions. He has recently weighed in on the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj feud. He made some insensitive comments about Megan Thee Stallion and then apologized. Recently, 50 dunked on Madonna. He’s even publicly beefed with his son.
So you can’t blame MSNBC host Ari Melber for taking advantage of 50’s unfiltered nature when he had 50 as a guest on his show, The Beat With Ari Melber. Melber asked 50 to respond with a word or a sentence when the host mentioned an artist. He started with Eminem. “The best.” When asked about former G-Unit member Lloyd Banks, he was more reserved: “Cool.”
He was warmer with G-Unit’s Tony Yayo: “That’s my boy. Loyalty!” When asked about 50 Cent, the rapper, he laughed and said, “Still got it, man!” Melber then asked about 50 Cent, the television producer: “Just getting going!”
The host then asked about other rappers, like Future: “Talent!” Nas: “The best!” When asked about Jay-Z, he paused, grinned and said, “Good business.” Then he asked about 50’s Get Rich Or Die Trying. “Classic!” Watch the excerpts below.
Elsewhere in the interview, he admitted that Dr. Dre didn’t want him to do his R&B-influenced song “21 Questions,” which sampled Barry White’s “It’s Only Love Doing Its Thing.” He noted that his favorite line in the song was, “I love you like a fat kid loves cake!”
