Teyana Taylor Addresses Iman Shumpert Cheating Allegations, Confirms Split
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have split after 10 years together. There were reports of the NBA star cheating on Taylor but she addressed those rumors when she announced the split over the weekend.
“AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while,” Taylor wrote alongside a photo of her and Shumpert.
She began her message by addressing the cheating rumors. The singer added how they are prioritizing their two daughters Iman “Junie” Shumpert, 7, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 3.
“To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure,” she added. “We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children. Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10yrs together, 7yrs married we ain’t ever played with or about THAT.”
She continued: “We just keep y’all a—- out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise. The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved. I hope this provided some clarity for y’all. Iman Shumpert Accused Of Cheating By Fans
Shumpert and Taylor began dating in 2013. The couple got married in 2016. Before Taylor announced the split, Shumpert was accused of cheating on Taylor with one of his artists on his label. The woman who goes by @ayy_mamiii_ on Instagram, said she and Shumpert only have a working relationship. Fans believed that she and Shumpert were romantically linked after she was seen wearing Shumpert’s chain on social media. The woman denied that it was his chain and said that all of his artists had the chain.
Shumpert has not spoken out about the new development in his relationship with Taylor.
