Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta Season 10 Premiere: Reactions
Fans have anticipated the return of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta as it took a hiatus, like so many other shows, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show has now entered its 10th season which premiered July 5 at 8 p.m ET/PT.
The episode hit the ground running with some much-needed girl time between Erica Mena, Bambi Benson and Sierra Gates. Their meeting drew attention as they discussed their relationships. Mena expressed her frustration in her relationship with her husband, hip-hop producer Safaree, telling the ladies, “This is not the man I married.” Mena also told the girls how the tweets Safarree previously tweeted on her being “the biggest mistake of his life” made her feel that their relationship hit an all-time low. Benson, who is expecting her third child with her rapper husband Scrappy, explained how she needed a break between caring for their smaller children on top of being pregnant. Gates was not shy spilling about her love life as well as detailing how closure is needed between her and her ex-, BK Brasco.
The drama doesn’t end there, either: the newest cast members are bringing in all the heat along with them. Per The Wrap, some new faces you’ll see this season include “Yung Baby Tate signed Raedio vocalist and overnight sensation, Renni Rucci, a dynamic rapper signed to Lil Baby’s label Wolfpack, and Omeretta The Great an emerging artist who has grabbed the attention of heavy hitters Lil Baby and Nicki Minaj.”
Some returning cast members from the hip-hop docu-soap Love & Hip-Hop New York, have also landed in the A are, Yandy Smith-Harris and Mencedees Harris.
According to The Wrap, VH1 is promoting this season as, “bringing music back to the forefront with a female-led ensemble in the epicenter of hip-hop navigating careers, business empires, layered family dynamics, mental health, and fighting for Black liberation during a national reckoning amid a global pandemic.”
