Beyoncé’s Former Trainer and Bodyguard Dies From COVID-19
Beyoncé’s former trainer and bodyguard, Craig Adams, has died from COVID-19.
Adams worked with Beyoncé since the days of Destiny Child; he was their trainer and security guard. Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, penned a heartfelt message on her Instagram of the family friend.
“I am heartbroken this morning. I found out this morning that this amazing human being Craig Adams from Houston passed away last night from Covid. This horrible killer disease attacked his organs , his lungs first made him have kidney failure and as hard as he fought he succumbed to the disease last night,” Ms. Knowles-Lawson said.
“Craig was a fitness trainer and was healthy! This is only the latest of Many friends and family that were lost to Covid. Craig was Beyoncé’s trainer and later security for Destiny’s Child. ! He was like a family member . Such a beautiful human being , kind , loving, and gentle. RIP Craig we love you!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️💔💔”
Adams died on Tuesday after contracting the virus and as his family spoke to the local news outlet KTRK, they informed the outlet that the former trainer was not vaccinated against COVID-19 per PEOPLE.
Lawson spoke to KTRK as she remembered her friend, “He became a part of the touring, and he was security for a while.” said Lawson. “If you knew Craig, he just always had a smile on his face. Always was positive … I’ve never heard him say one negative thing about anybody, even when they deserved it. He was just a good, honest guy.”
