Eminem’s Adopted Child Comes Out As Non-Binary: ‘Call Me Stevie’
Eminem’s 19-year-old has come out as non-binary via a TikTok video announcement when the teen asked folks to “Call me Stevie (they/he/she).”
Eminem legally adopted Stevie, formerly known as Whitney, in 2005, when the rapper reconciled with Stevie’s mother, ex-Kim Scott.
In a video posted on the social media site, Stevie shows their journey over the years from Whitney (she/her) to they/she to Stevie (they/she) to all pronouns. The beginning of the montage starts off with audio of Stevie crying with the words, “Watch me become more comfortable with myself <3.”
Non-binary is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity that are neither male nor female.
Stevie wrote: “forever growing and changing <3 #greenscreen #genderfluid #bi #life”

One person asked why they chose Stevie, to which Stevie replied, “I spent a long time trying to pick a name I felt comfortable with and the first name I felt comfortable with is Stevie!!”
Another TikTok user asked if the name change is passport official, which Stevie said, “Not yet! Working on it tho!”
The post was liked by 25-year-old sister Hailie Jade, who is Eminem’s biological daughter with Kim. Eminem and Kim Scott married in 1999 and divorced in 2001, welcoming Hailie Jade before that in 1995. The couple briefly remarried for a few months in 2006.
As we earlier reported, Kim had cut herself at her Michigan home last month in an apparent suicide attempt, during which she became so violent that paramedics couldn’t check her vitals. She was rushed to a hospital for both medical and psychological evaluation, but is now back at home and is recovering.
In another recent TikTok, Stevie posted about people saying that Eminem isn’t their real dad and “You’re adopted.” Stevie then writes, “Gets sent an article of my biological dad’s death and shows my grandma, ‘I’m sorry they wouldn’t tell you about him.'”
Per Daily Mail, Stevie’s biological father was tattoo artist Eric Hartter, who died of a suspected drug overdose in 2019, after a history of substance abuse and problems with the law. Kim had Stevie six months after her 2001 divorce with Eminem.
Eminem adopted Stevie in 2005, after his short reconciliation period with Kim. He also adopted Kim’s late twin sister’s daughter, after she died from a drug overdose.
