Megan Thee Stallion Cancels Houston Show Out Of Respect For Astroworld Victims
Megan Thee Stallion has decided to cancel her upcoming Houston show “out of respect” for the Astroworld tragedy that left 10 dead and dozens injured.
The Grammy-winner spoke to the Houston Chronicle about the cancelation of her Friday (Dec. 3) show, “Out of respect for the lives lost in Houston earlier this month, I have decided to cancel my show at 713 Music Hall on Dec 3,” she said in a statement to the Chronicle. “Houston is still healing and it’s important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve. My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time.”
We previously reported that Travis Scott and company have been named in numerous lawsuits regarding the tragedy. Scott has offered to pay for the victim’s funerals but most recently the youngest victim, nine-year-old Ezra Blount’s family has decided to decline Scott’s offer.
