The Funniest – and Most Heated – Moments, as Shannon Sharpe Leaves Undisputed and Skip Bayless
As a sports fan the only thing better than watching the games are watching shows about the games, and for a long time I enjoyed watching “First Take” on ESPN where Skip Bayless and Steven A Smith would debate numerous sports related topics.
When Skip left ESPN in 2016 for Fox he was given his own show this time he’d be sitting opposite NFL Hall of Fame Tight End Shannon Sharpe. Being relatively new to sports debate shows myself and others were interested to see what Shannon Sharpe brung to the table. I’m sure I’m not alone but Shannon Sharpe greatly exceeded my expectations and soon made “Undisputed” my favorite sports show to watch.
Over the 7 year span of the show there have been incredibly funny moments and very heated arguments between Skip and Shannon. A few times viewers felt that Skip would go too far and apparently there was a rift. Fast forward to 2023 and it seems whether that was true of not Shannon Sharpe decided to leave the show to pursue other interests. He has his “Club Shay Shay” Podcast and other ventures going for him. I for one will be sad to see him go and I’m curious what he will do in the future as well as who will be next to sit with Skip on Undisputed.
