Good News Fayetteville: AI Could Improve Your Tinder Game
Making the right first impression is important in any context. But in the world of online Tinder dating around Fayetteville, it can be the difference between romantic success, and another night alone cooking a Stouffers meal for one while binging Breaking Bad for the 80th time (I may or may not be drawing from personal experience there).
But thanks to the advent of AI, you may no longer have to worry about sifting through your pictures for the best online dating results. Tinder plans to introduce a new feature that can arrange your photos in a way that will help you put your best foot forward while you swipe away.
I’m no stranger to dating apps myself. In fact, I met my girlfriend on the streets of Tindersburg. Don’t let my success fool you into thinking I was some kind of digital Don Juan though. It took me three years on the app with many failed pickup lines and extensive profile tinkering before I was finally able to consistently get matches.
But with this new technology you may be able to get to that place in a fraction of the time. According to The Guardian, during a conference call with investors, CEO of Match Group Bernard Kim was thrilled to explain how the new Tinder AI can take some of the hassle out of picking the most date-worthy pics. “I really think AI can help our users build better profiles in a more efficient way that really do showcase their personalities.”
According to developers, the Tinder AI will comb through a user’s photo album and select five pictures that it feels best represents their personality and overall vibe. So if you like to work out pretty frequently, the AI might use a picture of you flexing after a killer set on the bench press. Or if you’re an avid traveler, it may use that funny picture you took in Italy where it looks like you’re pushing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
And the AI assistance may not stop there. According to their website, Tinder is also testing a way for their new software to help you write a bio for your profile. While you’ll still be able to edit your bio how you like it, the AI can provide a solid foundational template for you to work around so you can enjoy the best Tinder results possible.
Is this a step too far for technology? Isn’t letting AI do all the heavy lifting for you just barely a step above catfishing? Will it get to a point where the AI will actually go on a date for you? These are just some of the deep, philosophical questions you won’t have time to ponder on while you’re on all those dates thanks to your new digital wingman! Thanks, robots!
