Rick Ross Alleges Drake Did Not Write His ‘Sicko Mode’ Verse
Rick Ross and Drake’s feud is heating up. Rozay went on social media alleging that Drake did not write his “Sicko Mode” verse. Drake was an uncredited featured guest on Travis Scott’s Grammy-nominated track.
In a social media post, Ross is dancing in the club where “Sicko Mode” is playing over the speakers. He asks his social media followers: “Who wrote this?” adding, “Guess who wrote this. You would never guess who wrote this.”
Fans in the comments came for Ross bringing up the fact that he used to be a correction officer: “It’s really simple to look up the writing credits officer Ross.”
“I’m laughing but I’m still team Jimmy,” another fan wrote referring to Drake’s Degrassi character Jimmy Brooks.
“He so happy we paying him some attention again,” another fan responded.
According to the song’s official credits, Drake is credited as one of the writers including Scott who provided the lead vocals on the song. Big Hawk, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, Cyhi the Prynce, Misrad Dervic, and producers Tay Keith, Hit-Boy, Cubeatz, Mike Dean, Ozan ‘OZ’ Yildirim, and Rogét Chahayed are also credited as writers for the No. 1 hit. Since “Sicko Mode” has a sample of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Gimme the Loot” and Luke’s “I Wanna Rock,” those songwriters are also credited on the track.
Rick Ross Trades Shots On “Champagne Moments” Before Alleging Drake Did Not Write His “Sicko Mode” Verse
Rick Ross and Drake have been trading shots for the past couple of days. Drizzy mentioned his “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” collaborator on “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50).”
“I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky,” raps Drake, referencing Ross’ history as a correctional officer. “Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this n—- turnin’ fifty / Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy / Spend that lil’ check you got and stay up out my business,” Drake raps.
Rozay responded shortly after on “Champagne Moments” insinuating that Drake got a nose job.
“That’s why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father nose,” Ross raps. The “Hustlin'” hitmaker also revealed why he decided to not follow Drake anymore. “I unfollowed you, n—-, ’cause you sent a muthaf—–‘ cease-and-desist to French Montana, n—-.”
Drake responded to the nose job rumor via a screenshot text message exchange between his mom Sandi Graham which the Toronto rapper uploaded to his Instagram Story Sunday.
“The internet is saying you got a nose job??” the matriarch wrote. “You looked the same to me in the kitchen today. I can’t believe you would get one without me, [blushing emoji] cuz you know I always wanted one. Don’t tell me that you got tattoos without me and now this, too? [thinking emoji].”
“I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma,” Drake responded with several laughing emojis. “It’s coming from Rick Ross.”
Drizzy alleged that the Miami native was taking the Type 2 diabetes drug Mounjaro for weight loss writing, “He’s gone loopy.”
“He hasn’t eaten in days and it’s turned him angry and racist,” he continued referencing that Rozay’s “Champagne Moments” often refers to Drake as a “white boy” despite Drizzy being biracial.
The 6God had added one more jab at his former friend saying that his career has gone downhill now that “he’s performing at proms for money it’s bad.”
“Don’t worry we’ll handle it,” Drake concluded the message.
