Pregnant Reality Star’s Family Speaks Out After Her Unexpected Death
Yesterday, we reported Lyric McHenry’s lifeless body was found on a sidewalk in New York, hours after she celebrated her birthday with friends.
Now, one day later, her family has issued a statement regarding her death.
According to People Magazine, McHenry’s family has questioned a report by the New York Daily News that her death was due to an overdose.
The publication had reported drugs were found in close proximity to her body.
The statement said that regardless of what has been reported thus far, her cause of death is not known at this time.
Earlier reports had also indicated that McHenry, 26, was around five months pregnant at the time she passed away — But her family made no mention of the pregnancy.
Fans of McHenry remember her from E!’s EJNYC, which ran in 2016 and starred Magic Johnson’s son.
An autopsy is still pending.
