Jay-Z And Beyonce Dealing Out 11 Scholarships At 100K A Pop
The Carters are doing some good in this world.
The BeyGOOD Initiative and The Shawn Carter Foundation have decided to hand out 11 scholarships to exceptional students in the last few cities they are hitting for the ‘On The Run II’ tour, and they are throwing down a pretty penny to do so.
According to the Press Release, students in Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Arlington, New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Clara and Seattle who are preparing for college will be chosen by Boys and Girls Club of America based on academic excellence and financial needs “that would make it hard for them to enter a college or university for the academic year 2018-2019.”
Thanks, Jay-Z and Beyonce! Though, I will say this: I wish they would have included all of the American stops, because I’m sure some of the other states would have loved the opportunity. Maybe next time!
