Courteney Cox Teases A New ‘Scream’ Movie
Courteney Cox has gotten her fans in a frenzy on Instagram over her latest post. The actress posted a video of a blinking Scream mask with scary music behind it. In the video, it reads, “I can’t wait to see this face again.” Courteney did not caption the photo, but she did tag Spy Glass Media Group and Paramount Pictures. She also tagged a new account @Screammovies, which has the bio, “The official account for Scream — Coming soon.”
Under the post, fans are losing it. One wrote, “WOAHHHHH!!!,” while another added, “No way, I’m screaming! You’re bringing back Gale Weathers! 2020 just got a little bit better.”
As we reported, talk of Scream 5 began back in May when Neve Cambell confirmed that she was set to return to the franchise. She told Rotten Tomatoes, “We’re having conversations – I have been approached about it. The timing’s a bit challenging because of COVID. You know, we only started the conversation maybe a month and a half ago, so it’s going to take some time to figure out how it’s all going to work out…. We’re negotiating, so we’ll see.”
She added, “I’m so grateful for these films… I love Sidney Prescott. It’s always fun for me to step back in her shoes, and it’s always fun for me to see the cast come back and make one of these films again and try to make another good one.”
