Kanye West Reportedly Planning Concert In Italy
Kanye West is reportedly getting back to live performances. An Italian newspaper, ReggiOnline, reported that West has called for workers to start constructing a stage for an event on Friday (October 13).
“In the event the authorizations aren’t forthcoming, the date of the following Friday (which would be October 20) is also on the table. Additionally, there is speculation that the preparations are merely for an end-of-summer concert, and the rumors of who could be performing still hang in the air, especially in the absence of official confirmation from West’s camp or other camps,” the site reports via translation from Italian.
If Kanye were to have a concert in Italy it would be the first time he’s performed as a headliner since his controversial remarks last year.
Travis Scott Brings Out Kanye On Stage In Rome
Back in August, Kanye performed for the first time alongside Travis Scott since his antisemitic remarks last year.
“Only one human being on this mother f—— planet that has ever walked side by side with me through anything and every mother f—— thing,” Scott yelled at the crowd.
Ye hit the stage and performed “Praise God” which features Scott from his 2021 Donda album. He later performed “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” a staple song in the rapper’s discography.
Following Ye’s antisemitic comments, he was dropped from Balenciaga, Gap, and Adidas. While the latter has cut ties with the rapper, they are selling the rest of the Yeezy stock they have left over. The sportswear company will be donating part of the profits to George Floyd’s brother’s foundation Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change. They will also be donating to the Anti-Defamation League.
Kanye’s Leaked Music
If the concert actually happens, it would be the perfect time for Ye to debut the new music he’s been working on. Two of the rapper’s projects, Donda: The Child and Jesus King II have been leaked online recently. In addition, he has been in the studio with Ty Dolla $ign working on new music.
