This R. Kelly Thing Is Really An Uncomfortable Subject…
So by now, you’ve already seen the internet go ablaze amidst the claims against R. Kelly.
And by now, I’m sure that you’ve already formulated your opinion on the subject.
Personally, the topic is severely uncomfortable, because you want to believe that the girls that are in question are in their right mind and are not being held against their will, but there’s a factor of Stockholm Syndrome that you can’t ignore.
One of the “captives” of R. Kelly reached out to TMZ and said that she was “fed up” with what the family is spewing, and Pigeons and Planes quotes the report, with her saying the following:
“You are embarrassing me and the whole entire family. I am happy where I’m at and the people that I’m around. It’s getting out of hand, seriously. Because honestly, you know the situation that had happened that night when I went to meet R. Kelly. So I would like for you…matter of fact, I would love for you to stop what you’re doing, because I can’t believe you even went this far. I love you to death, but I need you to understand me. Please stop what you’re doing. Please.”’
R. Kelly has denied the reports according to P&P, but with all of the evidence and claims amounted against him, it sounds like a real life version of Fifty Shades Of Grey, where you fall in love with a messed up millionaire, and you try to fix him and be what he needs.
For me, personally, I thought it was weird and uncomfortable for R. Kelly to hook up with Aaliyah, considering he met her when she was 12, and the fact that they got married when she was 15. And I’d never want to speak on Aaliyah, rest her soul, but it just seems plausible that R. Kelly could have coaxed these females into falling for him, and women do crazy things when they are in love.
I wish there was an answer, but truthfully, I have none other than to say this whole thing seems shady, and I think many people might be on the same page.
