TLC Unveils New Trailer For ‘TLC Forever’ Documentary
Lifetime and TLC shared the first look at the ’90s R&B group’s documentary chronicling their career. “No matter what we went through, we never questioned the love,” Chilli is heard narrating in the trailer. T-Boz and Chilli along with Missy Elliott, Questlove, and more speak about the impact that the girls group had on the music industry and how they “broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation and survived against all odds.”
When speaking on the break-up, Chilli stated, “I just never had that feeling that it was over.” T-Boz responded, “How are we supposed to fight against the world if we’re fighting internally?” Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes tragically died in a car crash in Honduras in 2002.
Since then, the surviving members have kept her memory alive by continuing to perform. They now have an upcoming tour with Shaggy, En Vogue, and Sean Kingston. They also teased that they “still have a lot to do” in terms of the pair’s future plans.
Back in 2013, VH1 aired CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story a biographical television movie on the influential group. Keke Palmer played Chilli, Niatia “Lil Mama” Kirkland played Left Eye, and Drew Sidora played T-Boz.
TLC Forever premieres on Saturday, June 3 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime/A+E.
