Drake Surprises Fans With 100 Gigs Drop Featuring 3 New Songs
Drake is full of surprises. He’s just released 100 gigabytes of content on a website called “100 Gigs for Your Headtop,” which includes three new songs and B-roll footage. The new tracks are “It’s Up,” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Blue Green Red,” and the Gordo-produced “Housekeeping Knows,” featuring Latto. In addition, the site offers behind-the-scenes clips from music videos, tour rehearsals, and studio sessions.
The folder of unreleased content spans years of Drake’s career, including BTS footage from his music videos like “Nonstop,” “Jumbotron S— Poppin,” “Sticky,” “Hotline Bling,” and “What’s Next,” among others. It also includes an original version of “U With Me,” videos from his 2023 show at New York’s Apollo Theatre, and more behind-the-scenes content from tours like 2012’s Club Paradise Tour and 2013’s Would You Like a Tour? There are even videos of Drake recording in the studio.
The new songs come on the heels of a series of releases from Drake following his highly publicized beef with Kendrick Lamar. The feud started in March with Lamar’s “Like That,” leading to a rapid exchange of tracks between the two. Lamar released “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA,” and Drake responded with “Family Matters.” Lamar then followed up with “Meet the Grahams” and the now-famous “Not Like Us,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Drake’s response with “The Heart Part 6” couldn’t undo the impact of “Not Like Us.”
Fans React to Drake’s 100 Gigs
Fans have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts on Drake’s latest release. One user commented, “i think this is just his version of a photo dump, bro got the icloud is full noti and dropped everything.” Another said, “There is so much fire artwork here. Man still manages to pick out the worst ones for album covers.” Despite the jokes, the overall reaction has been one of excitement, with many praising his collaboration with Latto.
With so much happening, it’s easy to forget that it’s been less than a year since Drake’s last album, For All the Dogs. Over the weekend, Drake announced that he and PARTYNEXTDOOR are planning to drop an R&B album when the weather “gets a little chilly,” but he might also release another rap project before the year ends.
The news was confirmed by Drake himself, who made the announcement during a guest performance at PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Toronto show.
“On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all,” he shared. “So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you.”
