Monica Claps Back at Body Shamers Ahead of Dreamville Festival Performance
As Monica prepares to grace the Dreamville stage in April, internet trolls are running rampant. Recently, a fan posted a video of Monica performing and commented on her appearance, stating that she must have lost her voice due to getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
The caption read: “That BBL done took Monica’s voice away.”
However, this is not the first time that Monica has internet criticism about her body. In fact, before Nicki Minaj targeted Meg Thee Stallion with “Big Foot” internet trolls target Monica for her white patent leather shoe choice from her “Just One of Them Days” video.
Nicknamed “Goonica” and known for speaking her mind and standing up for herself, took to Instagram to address the comments made by the fan and other trolls. She reminded everyone that she has been vocal about her health struggles which have caused weight fluctuations over the years. She went on to pull out padded Spanx to give us a visual. She said BBL must mean “Bought by Linda” in her case.
